Who is the Wife of Dr Zakir Naik?

Farhat Naik (right)
The face of Farhat Naik is not known by many because she wears a niqab. Farhat Naik holds a Masters degree in Commerce from the University of Pune in the Mahashrata province of India.

She was teaching in a college in Pune after her degree when she got married to Dr Zakir Naik.

Presently, she is the President of the Women’s Wing of IRF. Until recently, she also used to head the Islamic International School in Mumbai set up under the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF).

Just like her husband, she tours the world holding exclusive seminars for women in English and Urdu. In 2016, she spoke on ‘Motherhood in Islam’ in Cairo. She had also spoken at the Ideal Muslimah conference in Indonesia and Kuwait.

She has also spoken on whether Dawah (preaching Islam) is compulsory in Malaysia.

She spoke at the Srinagar International Peace Conference in 2014 to a 4,000-strong audience and held a women’s night sermon every Wednesday at IRF.

Sister Farhat is heralded as one of the biggest female Islamic scholars from India and an authority on comparative religion. She has held house-full international sermons on the ways to be an ideal wife, a woman and devotee of Allah, with her husband, and on occasions; with her children too.

Farhat Naik, like her husband, encourages engaging non-believers in debates to teach them about Islam in positive environments. She speaks strongly of how women in Islam are more elevated than in other religions citing both scriptural and contemporary sources.

Farhat Naik also speaks on what an ideal Muslim home should look like talking about choosing a righteous life partner to raise good Muslim children. She also talks about how to be a good Muslim mother within the parameters of Islam to ensure the continuity of the Ummah simultaneously shedding light on roles and responsibilities of the ideal Muslim woman.

Zakir and Farhat Naik have three lovely children: a son, Farik Naik, and daughters Rushda and Zikra Naik, all of whom have actively taking in the path of da’wah like their parents and grandfather (Late Dr Abdul Karim Naik).

Farhat Naik has featured in so many videos available on-line discussing one vital Islamic issue or the other.

May ALLAH preserve the Naik family for the Ummah. Ameen.
