In what will be among the notable miracles of
2017, Janet Jackson has given birth at 50 to a bouncing baby boy whom they have
already hinted will be named Isa. The delivery took place on Tuesday Jan 3rd
in Qatar. However, Janet who married 42 year old Qatari millionaire Wissam Al
Mana in 2012 has not disclosed whether or not she has embraced Islam. She has
however been spotted in recent times putting on Islam compliant clothing and
has not been seen in western style attire for years. Even though there have not
been direct statements from her, close associates say Janet has been studying
Islamic books since 2011 (before she married Wissam) and has been heard using
the expression ‘insha Allah’ and ‘Allah willing’ on some occasions.
Despite the joy the ex-Jackson five star is
in currently, western media outfits and speakers have been observed trying to
bring Janet’s past to public notice referring majorly to her previous
appearances on cover pages of immoral magazines and wardrobe disasters on
stage. It should be noted that, it would not be a new thing anymore for a ‘Jackson’
to embrace Islam. The eldest member of the ‘Jackson Five’ Jermaine Jackson
embraced Islam in 1989. The most famous of the Jacksons, Michael Jackson, is
also rumoured to have embraced Islam before his death. Muslims across the globe
believe he was killed because of what someone of his personality embracing
Islam could mean for western culture.
Some sections of the society have accused Janet
of gold-digging saying she married Wissam for financial gains. This can be
easily debunked by drawing attention to the fact that Wissam has an estimated personal
net worth of 200 million dollars while Janet has 175 million dollars (25
million dollar difference).
Whether or not Janet Jackson declares Islam
to be her faith, she remains a friend of the Muslims.
"ALLAH forbids you
not, with regard to those who do not fight you because of your faith nor drive
you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them. ALLAH loves
those who are just. Surah al-Mumtahanah (60:8)
