The
Cause of Makkan 9/11 Revealed
An
engineer (not identified) who is among the 14 defendants in the crane crash
case has revealed in a court hearing that the incident happened because the
people who operated the machine had very little knowledge of how it worked as
most of them never really read the manual. He said in his hearing, "Some of them did not even know that such a book
existed." On the Sept. 11th 2015, a crane collapsed in Makkah
leading to the death of 111 people leaving 260 injured. The defendants have
pleaded that the case which is being presided over by the criminal court should
instead be handled by the civil defense court since it was an accident. If found
guilty of negligence in the civil defense court, the defendant could get a 6
month jail term and a fine which is quite mild compared to a possible life or
death sentence in a criminal court. It is however not clear how the Saudi authorities
would place the construction project in the Holy site in the hands of armatures.
