Malaysia Set To Draft Shari'a State Road-Map

Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, announced on Friday 20th January the convergence of the Islamic Religious cluster of the National Transformation 2050 (TN50). He said the dialogue was called for by the Prime Minister Najib Razak who instituted the panel a day ealier to seek the views of the relevant quarters and also to draft the Islamic agenda up to 2050. Dr Ahmad was quoted by pressmen to have said, "We will invite all the new and young ulamas because we want to know what we have to plan for, to carry out.” Deputy PM Ahmad also said the Islamic Religious cluster will seek to tailor Islamic education to suit the needs of the labour market. The state and national-level Quran Class e-Teacher Management and Fardu Ain Online (KAFA e-Teacher) systems have also been launched by Malaysian government.
