Jeopardizes Us All: Czech Muslims

in Czech Republic on Tuesday Jan 3rd in a congress themed ‘Together
Against Terrorism’ reiterated their denouncement of terrorism. The former head of
the Prague Muslim Community Vladimir Sanka was quoted to have said, “Terrorism
is an evil that must be jointly fought by all regardless their faith. Terrorism
jeopardizes us all, including dozens of millions of Muslims living in Europe.”
He also emphasized the fact that groups such as ISIL and the likes bring no
benefit to the Muslim community as most of the victims of their activities are
no doubt Muslims. A speaker at the congress, Petr Pelican however pointed out that
the motives of the perpetrators of these crimes should also be taken into
consideration as their acts might stem from their desire avenge the death of
some relatives killed in military actions by host countries. Pelican was also
quoted to have said, “Those who
attack the Western society because they disapprove of its values, should leave
this society and move to other regions with a social setup they like.”
