Non-Muslim Women To Wear Hijab On Trump’s Inauguration

An American non-Muslim actress, Kathy Najimy, has called on Muslim and non-Muslim women in Washington to turn-up for Donald Trump’s inauguration wearing the Islamic Hijab in solidarity with Muslim women. Trump’s Presidential campaign was soaked with anti-Muslim and racist rhetoric which has put Muslims and foreigners on their toes as inauguration hour approaches. Kathy, 59, posted on Face Book on Wednesday (18th January), “We intend to show that we stand with our about-to-be-disenfranchised Muslim Sisters, in solidarity. Traveling Scarves by wearing a scarf around your head, hijab style.” Kathy said while speaking to US website People, “I saw a woman with a hijab, and I thought, how can she know that I support her without going up and embarrassing her? So I thought, what if we wore them on Inauguration Day?"
