Lindsay Lohan Starts 2017 with ‘Assalam Alaikum’

As 2017 ushers in, reports have it that Lindsay Lohan has wiped-out most of her social media accounts leaving only the Islamic greeting ‘Assalam Alaikum’. There has been widespread suspicion that Lindsay had embraced Islam after she was seen holding a copy of the Qur’an in the summer of 2015. Afterwards, in April of 2016 she confirmed to The Sun that she was indeed studying Islam. The actress said in the interview with the tabloid, “America has portrayed holding a Koran in such a different way to what it actually is.” Lindsay Lohan has been actively helping Syrian refugees in Turkey and spends quite a lot of time in the UAE where she says the women have been teaching her a lot about life. The 30 year old celebrity who was raised catholic says she was inspired to assist the refugees in Turkey after she was involved in an accident that saw half of her finger torn-off and was sewn back afterwards. She says the experience made her wonder how it would feel to lose a limb.
