As Muslims wait in anticipation for Lindsay Lohan
to announce her coming into the fold, one popular woman has found it impossible
to hold back her words. Yvonne Ridley who herself embraced Islam in 2001, told
Sam Denaley of Talk Radio, "If Lindsay Lohan is embracing Islam, what I
would say is not to put yourself under any pressure. There is pressure on
converts, because people do expect us to be, not quite zealous, but on a higher
level than other Muslims, and it's a lot of pressure to be under." 58 year
old Yvonne Ridley also said, “The Qur’an is a blueprint for women’s rights”.
